JLG Telehandlers Rhode Island
After spending many years working together with his brother to establish their crane construction corporation into a leader of the business, John L. Grove decided to stop working. John and his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip utilizing their recreational vehicle. After that particular trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's top producer of specialized material handling machinery and mobile aerial work platforms.
In the R.V. trip, John spent much of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. While they visited the Hoover Dam, tragically, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a kind of equipment which could safely and quickly lift people into the air to be able to perform maintenance and construction work.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the journey. He formed a partnership with two dear friends when they purchased a small metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an initial team of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that original equipment are still being integrated into the current product
Since John L. Grove first drove back into town from his cross-country trip, the company has come a very long way. They have dramatically grown since their first aerial work platform first launched on the marketplace. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. A lot of innovative machinery are made to help clients be more effective and work safer.
JLG has remained committed to being the leader in the industry. The company takes operator comfort into account very seriously. They try to deliver in performance, along with overall comfort and safety so that the driver can be as effective as possible.
