Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide versatility and height. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks can not move the load away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck will usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specially to hoist personnel. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
