The design philosophy at Peiner has always revolved around delivering grabs that deal with the biggest volume of material vs. grab dead weight. The standard handling ratio for Peiner buckets and grabs is around 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent versus grab dead weight of 40 percent. This translates into moving greater quantities of materials quicker. There is less wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related components. Through a combination of manufacturing with high quality materials and innovative design, the required weight ratio is obtained.
