The telescopic lift truck will usually have a lengthened lift that utilizes a crane or arm to come over top of a truck. This type of forklift would allow you to raise loads higher and with better control. This additional control is because of the fact that you are moving the cargo on the crane's end, which is called a telescopic boom.
The cargo can also move both away from and towards the forklift cab too and this unique feature is something that basic forklifts could not do. The telescopic forklifts can provide both height and versatility. The telescopic forklift is really common in the agricultural and construction industries. Furthermore, they are an excellent choice in situations where you must work with something which requires more control that a regular forklift.
Frame Tilt
The frame tilt is a unique feature that is common to telehandlers. The operator could activate controls to alter the lateral or side to side angle of the frame. This frame could be moved 10 to 15 degrees in either direction from horizontal. There is a liquid filled tube that is curved and mounted within the cab. This is the frame tilt indicator or level indicator and works similar to a carpenter's level. It has a bubble indicator which indicates the lateral angle of the frame relative to the ground. This is a really helpful device which is used to make sure that the frame is level prior to elevating the boom in rough environments.
Steering
There are some models of telehandlers which provide rear wheel steering, similar to a vertical mast type unit. The majority of unit's offer 3 steering options that the operator could select; crab, circle and front steering. Like for example, if the operator chooses the "front" steering option, just the equipment's front wheels will react to the movement of the steering wheel.
