Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major analysis of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and really comfortable. This area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important information, in order to keep the operator functioning as efficiently as possible.
Thanks to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The hydraulic controls and the operators' seat are all individually adjustable as a way to maintain an optimum working position. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 ergonomically positioned multi-functioned and easy to operate levers that are offered for the window washers, horn, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
To guarantee a comfortable cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for cooling, heating, recirculation and defrosting. As an additional option, air conditioning could be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all within easy reach. The basic instruments which include: warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, high coolant temperature, low brake pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Additionally, gauges display values for gearbox oil pressure, engine coolant, fuel quantity and operating time.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is one of the main options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These models make it easier to supervise the machine. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any errors that happen and their current values.
