Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized version of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions as well as "Walkie" models.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk alongside the machine as they lift and move cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of loads over extended distances within warehouses and manufacturing applications. They are really fast and maneuverable.
It is not recommended to lift and move unstable or tall loads since there are no safety cages on these models. A rider might be the best answer if you are searching for a cheap method for transporting cargo from one place to another. If though, you are required to move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model could be the best alternative.
Order Selector
An Order Selector also goes by the name of Order picker. This machinery is specifically designed for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks attached to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the operator and the load in an effort to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Usually, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which could operate in smaller aisles. They are very handy pieces of machine during cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are a lot more popular.
