Established in 1920, FM GRU Tower Cranes started as a family company within the Northern Italy's largest industrial location. Throughout the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into a manufacturing and industrial economy, the company was working in the metal structural sector and welded construction industries. FMgru was involved in constructing pylons to convey electricity, bridges for roads, a wide range of forklifts, presses, farming machines and prefabrication molds.
During 1963, the company started crane production. The business eventually invested all of their human resources and financial resources in this activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest specialization level in the area of lifting.
