In order to be a successful model, a forklift needs to be strong enough to last in all working environments for numerous hours of use. It must be able to move loads efficiently and quickly as well. The equipment has to be both comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator as well.
The Yale powertrain is rugged and reliable. It has to be strong enough to always provide amazing strength through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs along with robust gears and extremely tough shafts. The transmission, engine, drive and steer axle are all isolated to decrease vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
Mazda and GM Gas & LP Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These equipment offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engine provide a higher compression ratio leading to better torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on most equipment. It features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts that give resistance when driving on rough environment. The strong clutch packs provide 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching that automatically adjusts in order to lessen maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system utilizes a computer-controlled power reversal which increases durability, extends tire life, and minimizes shock loading. In addition, the auto deceleration feature lessens break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is made for added durability with its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are entirely sealed against contamination and basically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from debris and damage. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Also, cast ductile iron axle reduces wear and increases toughness.
As part of Yale's standard packages, they have included numerous ergonomic features and safety features. These kinds of equipment would handle tough settings, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
