Telescoping Boom Lifts
Telescopic booms are large industrial machines designed with a straight boom arm which is extendable. The boom is normally situated on a rotating turntable. The telescoping boom lifts are usually utilized for jobs that need tasks to be performed at heights which exceed other kinds of lifts. For instance, workers are able to perform exterior renovations or repairs on medium sized buildings but using these lifts as opposed to having the additional work of setting up an outside elevator or a pulley system.

Scissor Lifts

Scissor lifts do, however, provide bigger platforms which enable the operator controlling the lift to access a larger work surface once the lift is raised. With scissor lifts, all-terrain capability is less of an issue with these types of machines, because they should sit on flat ground in order to be utilized. Scissor lifts are ideal for being used for window installation or cladding, because they provide the employees with the desired mobility; they are also a great option for exterior repairs or window cleaning applications.
Boom Trucks vs. Cranes
Boom trucks, bucket trucks and cherry pickers each refer to the class a type of utility vehicle used specifically for vertical work. Typically, these kinds of trucks have a cab. It is here where the operator sits and controls the machinery. There is a bucket for where the worker can stand in addition to a winch for carrying and an actuator arm for raising the boom.
Cherry pickers could raise workers up to heights which were previously inaccessible. The cranes function is to raise both heavy materials and equipment for one place to another.
